During their production in the 50s PIAGGIO altered the design of the front suspension of the 8” wheeled models several times.
Even though the appearance of the front suspension included on the Vespa models up to the Sprint and Rally remained largely unchanged to the untrained eye，the sports orientated types produced at the time (Sei Giorni) show how PIAGGIO experimented with various designs in an effort to increase the stability of the mechanism.
We now have a SIP “Sei Giorni Style” suspension link cover available，with a design strongly influenced by that of the original type found on 1953 Vespa “Sei Giorni” models.
The cover is produced using a high end aluminium alloy and this optical tuning extra can be attached to the suspension either by welding，a high quality adhesive or simply by being bolted firmly into position.
The SIP “Sei Giorni Style” suspension link cover is delivered unpainted in a neutral base colour and is suitable for swing arms with threaded axles.
Due to the vague construction tolerances of these die-cast swing arms slight modifications may be necessary to facilitate proper fitting of these covers.
Originally these items，along with the wheels，steering columns，etc.，left the factory with the same paint job as the chassis of the scooter.
SIP - TIP：When preparing the scooter for hardcore rallying，we recommend the swing arm and cover be reinforced with a little cold metal (＃14090000).
