The dish towl was produced with a rapier weaving machine from tim.
More than 6，100 individually electronically controlled warp threads weave with a maximum of 700 weft insertions per minute.
This is the most modern weaving machine at tim and demonstrates the current state of development of weaving jacquard technology.
We are proud to have been able to set up this project together.

The “Forder- und Freundeskreis tim e.V.” from Augsburg is committed to preserving and maintaining industrial culture.
The founding members saved machines and the fabric samples collection of the Neue Augsburger Kattunfabrik (NAK) after the closure of the Augsburg textile mills.
The collection consisted of 1.3 million samples，which formed the basis for today’s museum.
Together with the State of Bavaria，the City of Augsburg and the Stadtsparkasse，the NAK archive was saved as a “national cultural asset”.
In 2010，the “State Textile and Industry Museum” opened in Augsburg and enjoys over 100，000 visitors annually.
In 2018，the sponsoring foundation was established to enable future generations to experience the manufacture of textiles on running machines.
