Extreme Components is proud to present the new GP EVO AERO brake lever protection， made in twill weave carbon fiber. This new model has been developed thanks to our partnership with the Team RedBull KTM AJO and Alpinestars.
This new model (CPLEVO AERO) goes alongside the standard one (CPLEVO) that was the World first carbon fiber brake lever guard， characterized by the famous layout with descendent and ascendant shape and frontal spoiler， from us produced 10 years ago.
In this new version AERO， we pushed ourself even more to reduce the weight of the brake guard. The weigh of this new model is set at 30gr. (+/-5%) but with the same structural resistance of the standard model.
The brake lever guard AERO has been developed inside the wind tunnel. The aerodynamic coefficient has been even more improved offering the perfect conditions to reach the top speed without any turbulence， a very important factor in categories with small/medium size engines (Moto3 and Moto2).
The shape has been changed. The frontal area is now closer to the motorbike and has been developed for our SHORT brake lever with 16 and 18 offset. The total weight of the brake guard AERO and SHORT brake lever is now set to 60gr that is a superb result.
The AERO brake lever protection maintain many aspects from the standard model CPLEVO：
-The new brake lever guard is made by a monolithic piece of Carbon fiber and that give us the chance to reach the fantastic weight of 30gr. The lightest brake guard on the market with this structure and hit resistance.
-Different conformation of the surface between the internal and external side. In the internal surface there aren’t any angles and that help the rider to remove the hand in case of crash without any obstacles. The external side present a partial flat surface. This spec gives to the brake guard and extreme structural resistance and also augment even more the aerodynamic.
-Still present the “v shape” because it is our trade mark and because it is the only shape that guarantee to the rider to remove the hand in case of crash， avoiding to be stuck to the bike.
-The new front spoiler makes a better airflow in the zone of the throttle offering the best aerodynamic to the bike and to the rider when on aero position (straight) with throttle totally open.
The brake lever protection is supplied with a black teflon spacer so the rider can decide to use it closer to the grip or wider and with 5 aluminium insert that permit to the brake guard to fit on handlebars with internal diameter from 14mm to 19mm.
